Late word from the test bench:
Recovery of the log from BACKUP.LOG file has a few quirks which can't
really be fixed:
1. Band scores will be totally phony. That's because BACKUP.LOG cannot
reconstruct the points attributed to each band. Take those point
total with a large grain of salt. Log integrity is not affected
since this statistic is not a part of the "official" data.
2. If you logon in less than 30 minutes from a logoff and let CONLOG
adjust the time, and then recover from the BACKUP.LOG, you
will have a LOGOFF line in your log which is then followed
by new contacts instead of a logon line. This is because
the BACKUP.LOG does not have the last logoff "erased" by the
early logon. This is not serious, but remember to cross out the
erroneous LOGOFF line in the final printout so the ARRL won't
fault your log. The total time in the contest WILL be properly
updated after the NEXT item saved to the log.
Remember, these quirks ONLY OCCUR WHEN RECOVERING FROM BACKUP.LOG,
which should hopefully never happen.
